In an effort to initiate the much needed Mental Health Care Reform in the United States, and to express the need for awareness we are posting the following message in an effort to take the necessary steps in fighting this battle.

Goal: To see insurance benefits greatly increased for psychiatric illness, especially in the treatment of eating disorders; and to express the need for increased awareness.

We want to thank everyone who wrote previously. Your letters have been invaluable. Because the administration in the White House has changed, we will not longer be writing to Tipper Gore. We have changed the direction of this project.

Because Hillary Clinton is now the Senator of New York, we felt it would be a good chance to attack Mental Health issues through her work. Because she has shown a record of caring about seeing that people get the insurance coverage they need, we are now asking that you write your letters addressed to her. Each quarter (every three months) we will send copies of your letters to her office, as well as to AABA because of the work they are doing to initiate health care reform.
