Angie
May 1st, 1997

I am the 17 year old girl who wrote about my torturous battle with bulimia and anorexia. I told you how my parents were in denial and wouldn't help me. Through this web site I have found many wonderful, and supportive friends. On January 24, 1997 I was checked into the Remuda Ranch center for ed's. I spent two months in Arizona. They were the two best and worst months of my life. I made lifelong friends, and I found myself. I have recently turned 18, and I am happier than I have ever been. Times are still tough, but I am in recovery. When I wrote to this website three months ago, I thought I was going to die from this disease. Now I want to encourage all of you who are struggling to not give up. Be strong and ask for help. God loves you and will forever be there to protect you. To all the families, I encourage you to get help for your loved one. Please remember that the person you love is not herself. Her eating disorder is controlling her. Life is so worth living. I could never have imagined that being healthy could feel so good. Please stop punishing yourselves. Jesus already died for you. I love you all for I know that we are all sisters and I know how it feels to be afraid. I'd be happy to hear from you. My e-mail is [email protected].... Please head it Angie, as it is a shared account. God bless you all.
