Kathleen J. Kelly, Ph.D.
Hello - I am in private practice in Ocala, Florida, having moved there from Chicago in the fall of 2002. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I pursued specialized education in athletes, eating disorders and trauma. I have worked both in an eating disorder in-patient unit with severe anorexia and bulimic clients, as well as in private practice with less severe clients on an outpatient basis. I believe in addressing eating disorders from both a medical and psychological viewpoint, and use a variety of orientations in therapy, including relational, humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches. Those who suffer from this challenging illness continually inspire me with their courage, persistence, and desire for a better life. I love this work, and am honored to be a part of my clients' journey to a more whole, and authentic way of being.
