Smiles
by: Lauren

Smiles overfill pretense
Cheerfulness has suited up
Normality occurs often
The little girl resembles complacency

How comfortably the eyes are stultified
How effortlessly one is created a dupe
Intention is so easily transported to misinterpretation

Merely conversing with another mortal
Does not recognize friendship
Or convert assumptions to full-fledged familiarity
Knowledge does not equal power here

Inwardly turbulence extracts all humanity
Whirlwinds of punishment harass the image
Savage reasoning dismembers aperture
Permanent purification takes place

Smiles hide so much...
