Crucifying Ana
by: Anonymous

Skeletal, she twists on the cross.
I step back.
I look at her.
Stoic, bony, she beckens me to
Join her.
But she is not my Savior.
Although she is crucified,
She is not a Martyr.
She is not a Goddess.
She is not a Heroine.
I do not worship her.
Turning away,
I leave her there.
A fallen Idol.
I do not look back.
