Nearly four pm and waiting

Nearly four pm and waiting.

trembling hands surface scared,
there is lying in those eyes.
demons swing from conscious to subconscious
and the seldom voice it hides.

sin runs through these veins,
movement is its light.
foreign language spills from the body
morse code notes that spell out f i g h t

the organs are imagination
expiry date is out.
spring is skipped and winters longing,
ice camped waters filled with doubt.

where the sun is buried,
sound reflects its rays,
no echo escapes through these floors,
in the underground it stays.
