I know I can
by: Varma-Rose

I want to run more than anything in the world
It is my dream
To be like Marion Jones, my role model
To run in the Olympic
In front of the noisy fan

The only thing slowing me down is
My desire to be thin
I dont want to be thin to run
I want to be thin for me
Sticking with my diet
Is only slowing down
And ruining
My dream
If not my life

I thought if I stick to running
All year round
I would be a better runner
But I was missing out on something important
That is to help me
Become a better runner
I need to eat
For the energy to run
I fear
Gaining weight
I know I need to eat
I know I have to
And
I
Will
I know I can eat
I know I can run
Only if
I will try hard
I know I can turn negative thought
Into positive tought
I know I can run faster
Only if I will try
I know I can finally get better
I know I can run better
I know I can think more positive
I know I can work harder
I know I can try
I know I can do it
I know I can and I will
I will take power over myself
And use it to make myself a better person
The person I always dream of

I will let the world hear my voice
I will let the world see my smile
I will let the world know whats in my heart
I will let the world watch me laugh
I will let the world watch me run
I will be strong
I will live to see the future
And finally one day
I will watch my children laugh and smile
