Alone
by: Sarah

I sit here in my little world
just sitting all alone
No one knows my troubles
or the problems with which I cope.

I am afraid
not for myself
but for the family that I love
what would the think if they ever found out
just what I have been doing

Would they ever look at me the same
or would they be forced to make me eat
keep me from running to the toilet
every time I feel the vomit steep.

Those thoughts sicken me
even more than my appearance
So I'll just sit here all alone
waiting for someone to notice
the screaming that is going on inside of me
but I cover it with a smile
