Smile

I'll sit here and smile
And say everything's fine
While you try to decipher
These problems of mine

I'll tell you my life
And spit out the details
While you write it all down
And what it entails

I'll keep sitting here
And I'll listen to you
While you make all the rules
And tell me what to do

But I don't have to like it
And I don't have to do it
You can make me sit here
But you can't push me through it

I don't want your pity
I don't want your shame
I know what I'm doing
I am to blame

I want to be perfect
And you tell me I'm flawed
And you'll never understand
Because you think I'm odd

But I'll play along
Make you happy for a while
I'll wipe away my tears
and i'll sit here and smile
