A struggle so deep within myself
years of therapy and still its no help

Brief moments of hope enter my brain
but the ED voice screams, and I am to blame

I can not break this cycle so strong
it does me no good, I know that its wrong

It takes away everything from me
my life, my love and brings me such pain

So why then can't I let it go
I must punish myself for things in the past

I can not like the person that other people see
Plain and simple this ED wins
because I will never like me.
