As a registered member you agree to all the rules -- if you break the rules in any way and if you are banned from chat or the bulletin board, you lose all priveleges as a registered member -- meaning, if you are banned from chat you are also banned from the bulletin board, and vice versa.

The SFWED Chatrooms are meant to be a productive atmosphere aimed towards taking steps towards a life free from an Eating Disorder. There are strict rules that are enforced and it is your responsibility to be familiar with them. The chat rooms are also NOT meant for users to conduct research for book reports, research papers, a college thesis, etc. They are for those suffering with an Eating Disorder, or their friends and family, to find peer support. If you are looking to do research for a project please explore the site for what you need and do not harrass chatters with questions or comments.

Chat Room Managers are usually present in the room to attempt to maintain a certain amount of order. They appear in the rooms with a yellow and red fish beside their nickname (users have a yellow and green fish next to their nickname). This does not mean the chats are moderated - you are welcome to speak openly about anything you need to. The Chat Room Managers are just present to help and insure a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
