Night

I walk alone in darkness
no one to hold my hand
memories fade like crimson roses
dreams lost like blowing sand

The blackness envelops me
numbs my burning pain
washes aways the ashes
not good enough again

I want to rise above the dark
and journey into light
to see what lies beyond the depths
of never-ending night
